Community Outreach

A new CCL fundraising opportunity is under way!

The State of NJ has approved a new Clean Energy Program called "Community Solar." This program is a way for local customers of PSE&G (in Camden, Burlington, & Mercer counties) to get 100% locally-produced solar energy as their electricity source - without needing to put solar panels on your house or apartment. You will receive a discount on your electric usage depending on your income level with no upfront cost or cancellation penalty. The local solar group, Neighborhood Sun, has offered to make a donation of $200 to CCL for each person who joins from this special link before Nov. 30th and a $100 gift card. You can also use that link to get more information about the company and the program they are offering.  Solar link

CCL is holding another meeting at 7 pm on November 9th with our local representative from Neighborhood Sun to answer all of your questions.

Love Orphanage

Our own Ahaji Schreffler, RScP is the US Liaison to Love Orphanage. She met Gabriel during her first volunteer trip to Haiti in December 2011. Briefly mentioning Love Orphanage, she was intrigued and inspired. She was touched by the impact of one person’s sacrifice and dedication in changing the children’s lives. Unlike orphanages that receive sponsorship from international missionary groups, Love Orphanage had little assistance. She travels to Haiti twice per year to spend time with the children and transport needed donations, as well as regular fundraising campaigns to help support Love Orphanage’s mission.

Flower Power

Thank you everyone that placed orders. Stay tuned, we will be doing a Spring Fundraiser as well. Visit the CCL Flower Power website to order your fall planting bulbs today.

Fill A Bowl Project

“Fill a Bowl” is a community project promoted by the Humane Society of the United States. It is a collection of needed items for local shelters, sanctuaries or other organizations serving the needs of our non-human family. For CCL, collections are one Sunday a month, and delivered by CCL Animal Chaplain; Regina DeBarberie. Collections are expected to resume once we get back to “in-person” services.
