CCL Sustainability and Auto-Tithing

The Stewardship Council is creating strategies to enhance the financial stability of CCL.
At our most recent meeting, we approved the creation of Auto-Tithing at CCL. Auto-Tithing will allow you to tithe to CCL on a regular basis, through a consistent tithe that is pre-determined by you. It is like a subscription, in which you determine the frequency of your payment. It is deducted automatically from your bank account, and deposited to CCL. CCL invested in a sophisticated database system, which enables us to manage our tithes and donations, annual giving reports, budgeting and reporting, and all of our bookkeeping functions and tax documents. You determine the amount of your auto-tithe, based upon your capacity and to support CCL on a regular basis. It is managed by a third-party financial company, and not by CCL, and it is fully secure. You set it up directly through this provider, and not through CCL – CCL is merely the recipient of your tithes. Your giving allows CCL to continue all of its ministry programs, which include our weekly Sunday services at Saint Matthew Lutheran Church, support for our ministers, and for guest speakers and our live musicians; our special programs including classes and workshops; our outreach programs that include special community events; and our media-based activities, including Zoom-based options in our Sunday services and classes and workshops. Your participation in Auto-Tithing will allow CCL to budget more effectively in projecting its revenue. If you do not give electronically, we can offer you a commitment card, through which you can pledge a monthly amount as your pledged intention for regular giving to CCL.
